Midweek Adventure: Modern Art

Last week I took the kids to the local Museum of Modern Art.

It’s a great place to spend the afternoon, besides I’ve been meaning to go to the Bienal for a while so this afternoon the adventure was initially for my pleasure.

The boys made it their own; and it wasn’t long before they were picking favorites…

Image006

We stayed a couple of hours browsing, and I was impressed by how much they enjoyed it, never getting bored nor tired. While Gael was asking questions and immersing himself in everything he saw, camilo was quietly taking it all in trough those big eyes of his...

They were the perfect museum visitors, well maybe not quite perfect, but besides some harmless running and very little not so harmless touching, they were pretty well behaved for a couple of hyperactive toddlers.

Afterwards we headed to the grounds outside the museum for an afternoon snack.

The perfect ending to a fun afternoon.

Midweek Adventure: Strolling through El Conde

Last week we got on the car and drove to El Conde for a stroll with the boys.

So much to see, it was hard getting their attention,

Image002

Sadly, I didn´t took many pictures because I wasn’t feeling very safe to take the camera out of the diaper bag. That’s the developing world for you, not so great in the personal safety department.

We did however have a great time, the kids got a chance to see the microcosmos that is El Conde, with its many little universes. I remember going there as a kid and being enthralled with the quirky characters and street vendors. Its not the same now, the stores are old and there isn’t that much in the way of shopping, but the quirky characters remain. The kids were silent taking it all in, except maybe when a stray dog came in their line of sight, which was the most exciting thing for them.

After the long walk, we ended the afternoon at segafredo, its not the same going there for happy hour with the kids, its a different kind of fun. Anyway, an afternoon that ends with a margarita is a success in my book :)

Midweek Adventure: Sound Check at Gustavo's

I brought the boys in to watch his Daddy at the sound check for his Gig at Gustavo Live Pub last week.

When we arrived he was on stage… concentrated,

 Some of us were skeptical, while others where just plain sleepy;

Image002

But eventually the kids started to take in the sights,

Image003

 Some more than others,

Image004

Camilo decided to see what this whole show business was all about,

Image005

 Inspecting the stage up close,

Image006

 So much fun,

Image007

He tried to convince Gael to come play with him and Diego,

Image008

But Gael was happy just chilling in the back watching Daddy play TuTuTá,

Image009

When daddy came down to greet him, he let out a sigh of relief, apparently watching your dad play on stage can be pretty stressfull,

Image010

Then it was snack time, and all was right in the world again,

Love to see my boys sharing,

 My big boy,

We all had a great time :)
